A National Symposium cum Workshop on Springshed Management was organised by NERIWALM, Tezpur at its own campus. The workshop was inaugurated by Shri Pankaj Kumar, Secretary, Ministry of Jal Shakti.
While IAS Archana Varma, Addl Secretary & Mission Director of National Water Mission participated in the workshop where she discussed various aspects of the National Water Mission such as Water Security, Water Quality, Water Conservation and Springshed Management especially in Himalayan hill region.
Dr. Alok Sikka, Country Representative of International Water Management Institute (IWMI) delivered speech and spoke about IWMI's researching best practices in Springshed management.
Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Commissioner Secretary to Administration of Ladakh participated in the workshop as well.
