Its bollywood not hollywood | Entertainment

Bollywood??, you might ask, did you misspell Hollywood? Bollywood is an emerging film industry in India. In fact, it is the largest film industry in the world, presenting more than 600 films in more than 10 languages. Although it got its name from Bombay (now Mumbai) and Hollywood – Bollywood, the movies made in Bollywood are nothing like your typical Hollywood movies. Bollywood films are called masala films, literally "spicy films", they have numerous long and telling song sequences, comedy, thrills and love triangles. Movies often feature magical ingredients such as star-crossed lovers, love triangles, angry parents, family ties and wealth, sacrifice for lovers, both emotional and physical, corrupt politicians who seem to own everything, budding kidnappers, gangsters smuggling gold and ammunition , scheming villains, courtesans with hearts of gold, relatives and twins separated by fate or villains, dramatic twists of fate and events and opportune coincidences make a masala film very appealing to the masses. Movies are made to appeal to the masses, but there are few movies that try to set new trends. Bollywood is not only popular in India, but also among the large Indian diaspora in English-speaking countries and the Middle East. Russia and Japan also have a very large fan base for Hindi films, especially Raj Kapoor and Rajni Kanth. Bollywood music is called "film music" where the stars lip sync to a pre-recorded song on stage. Singers are more popular than the average star and have a huge fan base who often go to the cinema just to hear a song from their favorite singer. Kishor Kumar has a huge fan base and official fan club not only in India but all over the world where Bollywood movies are popular. The lyrics are written by professional poets, not by the singers themselves.

Like lyrics, there are "dialogues" that are written to appease the masses. If you're watching the movie in the cinema, don't be surprised to see people throwing "coins" at the screen when their beloved star delivers a dialogue like "Kute, Tera Khun Pi Jayuga" which means "Bloody dog! I'll suck your blood". Aspiring stars come from all over India to try their luck and become Bollywood's biggest celebrities. Some of them are former Miss World, Aishwarya Rai, former bus conductor Rajni and former chef Akshay Kumar and Shah Runk Khan. Bollywood loves their star and gossip. Like Bollywood, there are Kollywood, Tollywood and Lollywood, whose names are derived from Hollywood and the capital city in India, where they primarily make films in the regional language.

Like Oscar, Bollywood has its own set of awards and celebrations. Zee award, IIFA awards to name a few are very popular and celebrations are often held outside India. The latest trend is that there is an increase in the number of Bollywood movies such as Blockbuster in the video stores in the US. So what are you waiting for? Rent good movies like "Hum Aapke Hain Koun" (1994) and "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" (1995) and immerse yourself in the magical world of Bollywood.
